Since the seventies, toy soldiers made of plastic for the toy shops of the GDR, but also for export were produced at the PGH Effelder (VEB toy country Mengersgereuth - hammering plant Effelder). While the figures were still in various camouflage paintings in the early years, they were later painted, until the end of the GDR, in a uniform olive-green uniform with only a few details.
