In 1793 a full time militia force was established in Ireland which was liable for service within Britain and Ireland.Voluntary recruitment raised over 12,000 soldiers by 1795. These military miniatures depict members of the Bandon Boyne Infantry, Bandon Independents, Bandon Cavalry, Great Island Cavalry, Doneraile Rangers, Imokilly Horse, Duhallow Rangers, Cork Artillery, Youghal Cavalry and Passage Union Artillery.
