Clairon - composition soldiers from Liege

In 1923 Jean Ciset opened a toy store in Liege (Belgium). Starting as a toy retailer Jean Ciset became a wholesaler and imported toys mainly from Germany. In 1935 he started production of own 68mm composition toy soldier under brand "Clairon" (Bulge). The soldiers were produced from 1935 to 1950. Clairon toy soldiers topic range mainly included Belgian and French armies, but there were also German, Danish and British soldiers, and sets dedicated to the Abyssinian war and Napoleonic wars.
