Visiting Museum of the Sea in Biarritz 🌊⚓️🇫🇷🦑🦀🐠🐟🐋
Biarritz Aquarium, also known as le Musée de la Mer (Museum of the Sea), is an aquarium in Biarritz. The building, in art deco style, was opened in 1933.
The museum exhibition shows all about the history of fishing in the Bay of Biscay.
Navigation instruments, historical collections and explanations of tuna fishing and whaling by Basque fishermen.The museum also has a fascinating collection of the fish and invertebrates that live in the Bay of Biscay displayed in 24 aquariums with over 150 species including sharks, saw fish and the guitar ray.
