Elastolin gebirgsjager soldiers

Mountain infantry soldiers (Gebirgsjäger) were produced by Elastolin in 1933-1945.

Lineol sentry with a Reichswehr guard.

This Lineol sentry (Schilderhaus) was intended for the guard and was sold individually or with the guard. This Reichswehr guard was produced by Lineol (Germany) at the beginning of 30s (Scale 65mm).

Lineol Kriegsmarine composition soldiers

In 30s, Lineol produced Kriegsmarine soldiers in blue and white uniforms in two series of 65 mm and 70 mm scale. You can also see the figure of Großadmiral Erich Raeder (1876 - 1960).

Turnover tank from Louis Marx !

This tinplate toy is based on a British World War One (1914-1918) tank, possibly a Mark IV. It was made by Louis Marx and Company Limited of Dudley, Worcestershire. This firm was set up in New York City in 1919 and started production in the United Kingdom in 1931, with its first British factory at Dudley. The company's British arm was taken over by Dunbee Cobex in 1967, but continued to make toys under the Louis Marx and Company name until 1976. This tank is presented at National Army Museum in London(UK).

Deutsche 21 cm Mörser 10 battery

The 21 cm Mörser 10 (21 cm Mrs 10) was a heavy howitzer used by Germany in World War I (although classified as a mortar (Mörser) by the German military). This tinplate 21 cm Mörser was produced by Karl Bub in 30s. I have also photagraphed some compostion figures of Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg and General Erich Ludendorff produced by Lineol and Elastolin.

Tipp & Co Kubelwagen (Staff car) and partisans

Happy Friday ! The tinplate kubelwagen was made by Tipp &co in 30s, and the car crew (painted plastic) was prodcued by Lineol/Duscha in 90s/00s. Wrong turn ? These German soldiers don't know yet that Russian partisans are around the corner...

Prince August was founded in 1958 in Sweden. Lars Edman brought production to Ireland in 1975 / 1976. They produce many larger-scale display models as well as wargaming figures and self-cast moulds. Lineol soldiers from Brandenburg

Lineol Aktiengesellschaft was founded in 1906 by Oskar Wilhelm Wiederholz in Brandenburg an der Havel. As early as 1903, he had been developing the necessary composition mass, which, in contrast to the composition mass of its competitor Elastolin, also contains linseed oil and tree resin. Part of the contribution to Lineol success was made by the Berlin artist Albert Caasmann, who had designed the wax figures from 1909 onwards. In 1919 he became the Lineol head modeller under Wiederholz and was also head of figure production until 1952. In the 1930s, LINEOL AG employed 300 to 400 people. In addition to the mass figures, Lineol produced high quality tinplate military toys. The Lineol composition soldiers were available in different scales and sizes (from 17 cm to 4 cm), with the figure size of 7.5 cm prevailing over the years.
