The cutter Fox - Battle of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (24 July 1797) πͺπΈπ£π¬π§π⚓️
Troubled waters were against the British, who amounted to 700 in the boats, supported by 180 in the cutter Fox and 80 in a Canary sloop taken earlier. In addition to San CristΓ³bal castle, General GutiΓ©rrez split his force over four strategic points: Pila square, Santos stream, CarnicerΓas beach and Santo Domingo monastery.
At around 23:00 a rain of cannonballs and musket bullets from the batteries of Paso Alto, San Miguel, San Antonio and San Pedro fell on the approaching British whose own ammunition was damp with seawater. Several shots reached the cutter's hull. Some of the boats reached the beaches and marines managed to spike a couple of cannons, yet others drifted away. Spanish mortars and cannons focused on the successful sailors and swept them away. Many British casualties were left scattered on the beach. An immense line of fire, ranged from Paso Alto to San Telmo castle, targeted the small vessels. Before midnight the cutter Fox was hit by crossfire from the heights and sunk, with Lieutenant John Gibson and 17 of his men being drowned. This diorama is presented at the Regional Military Museum of the Canaries (Museo HistΓ³rico Militar de Canarias), Santa Cruz (Tenerife,Spain).

Battle of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (1797) πͺπΈ⚔️π¬π§
The Battle of Santa Cruz de Tenerife was an amphibious assault by the Royal Navy on the Spanish port city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Launched by Rear-Admiral Horatio Nelson on 22 July 1797, the assault was defeated, and on 25 July the remains of the landing party withdrew under a truce, having lost several hundred men. Nelson himself had been wounded in the arm, which was subsequently partially amputated: a stigma that he carried to his grave as a constant reminder of his failure.
The Regional Military Museum of the Canaries (Museo HistΓ³rico Militar de Canarias), is located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, more specifically in the Fuerte de Almeyda district. Its galleries present all of the military history of the de Canaries, including the repelling of the attack by British Admiral Horatio Nelson, as well as other events and battles waged in the islands.

Elastolin hand grenade throwers
In 30s, Elastolin produced different types of hand grenade throwers. I have counted 8 distinctive versions in my collection.
All of these soldiers are throwing "potato mashers" (Stielhandgranate). Stielhandgranate is the German term for "stick hand grenade" and generally refers to a prominent series of World War I and World War II-era German stick grenade designs, distinguished by their long wooden handles, pull cord arming and cylindrical warheads. The first models were introduced by the Imperial German Army during World War I and the final design was introduced during World War II by the German Wehrmacht.

Hungarian composition soldiers
The Hungarian People's Army (Magyar NΓ©phadsereg) or the HPA was the military of the Hungarian People's Republic and the armed branch of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party from 1951 to 1990.It maintained close ties to the Warsaw Pact along with other Eastern Bloc countries.
These Hungarian composition soldiers (7.5 cm) were produced in 50s. They may also represent the USSR army of that period. So there are still debates among collectors..
