In 30s, Lineol and Elastolin, famous German toy makers, produced numeruous marching 70 mm figures of Hitler Youth (Hitler Jugend). Baldur von Schirach (1907 - 1974), Reichsjugendführer (Reich Youth Leader), was represented by an Elastolin composition figure with a movable right arm.

Tipp & Co - Half track vehicle with 9 crew members

Tipp & Co (Germany) produced this windup tinplate half track vehicle (N 217) with 9 composition crew members from 1937 to 1940 (Scale 1/32-1/24).It reminds the German Sd.Kfz. 8 half track to a certain extent.The Sonderkraftfahrzeug 8 ("special motorized vehicle 8"), usually abbreviated to Sd.Kfz. 8, was a German half-track designed by Daimler-Benz that saw widespread use in World War II.

Lineol FAD and RAD composition soldiers ⛏️⛏️⛏️

The voluntary labor service (the Freiwilliger Arbeitsdienst- FAD) was a publicly funded employment program introduced in 1931 by the German Government of the Weimar Republic.The state sponsored FAD provided services to civic and land improvement projects. Finally, with the law of June 26, 1935, the Reich Labor Service - Reichsarbeitsdienst(RAD) came into power.The RAD concept was to create a state labour service organisation similar to the Reichswehr army, with a view to implementing a compulsory service. RAD was initially only compulsory for young males between the ages of 18 and 25, and at the beginning of the Second World War also for young women.With massive financial support by the German government, RAD members were to provide service for civic and agricultural construction projects. In 30s, Lineol produced 7cm FAD (left) and RAD (right) composition figures. I have these two interesting Lineol figures armed with spades.

During the Russian Civil War of 1918 to 1922, military operations across the vast Russian frontier tended to follow the thin network of rail lines interspersed throughout the countryThe front line between the Red Army of the revolutionary Bolshevik government and those of the so-called White movement of counterrevolutionary forces moved back and forth, with towns and districts moving from the control of one group to the other. At these photos, I have put together Belgian Durso composition soldiers produced by Michel Klimov and composition soldiers from other makers: GJ (Belgium) and Durolin (Germany). If you are curious about railroad wagons, I have photographed the old German tinplate ones from Marklin and Bing (Gauge 1: 1/32).
