The Sd. Kfz. 232 (8-Rad), which was produced from 1938 to 1943, was a 231 with additional medium range radio sets and a large frame aerial. The official name was Schwerer Panzerspähwagen (Fu) Sd. Kfz. 232 (8-rad)
