Lineol FAD soldiers ⛏️⛏️⛏️
In the course of the Great Depression, the German government of the Weimar Republic under Chancellor Heinrich Brüning by emergency decree established the Freiwilliger Arbeitsdienst ('Voluntary Labour Service', FAD), on 5 June 1931, two years before the Nazi Party (NSDAP) ascended to national power.
In 1934 Lineol introduced marching FAD labor service figures with shovels (6/37D).Starting from 1935, when RAD(Reichsarbeitsdienst) replaced FAD, Lineol started production of labour service figures in the new RAD uniform, but the FAD figures remained in Lineol catalogues and were offered within the Arbeitdienst (labour service) line.
